) Northside UMC Pastor
Rebecca Mincieli, joined us on July 1st, 2004. Pastor Rebecca was born and raised in Indiana and attended Indiana University. She received her Masters in Divinity from Andover Newton. Her sermons can be found by clicking the menu item to the left under "Worship" or by clicking here for recent sermons.
 Pastor Emeritus
Dr. Fred Yarger
Also born in Indiana, Dr. Yarger was educated at The University of Evansville and received his Masters of Divinity Degree from Boston University School of Theology and a Doctrate from Andover-Newton Theological School. He retired from Northside UMC in 2000 after 45 years of Ministry in the New England Annual Conference. He serves as coordinator of Helping Hands and the Katrina Mission Team. He also teaches and preaches occasionally.
 Assistant to the Pastor
Cheryl Jones was appointed assistant to the pastor in 2005. She has been a long time member of Northside UMC, and is a candidate to become a local pastor within the New England Conference. Cheryl recieved her Bachelors degree in 1967 in Child Development from the University of Massachusetts and recived her Masters from Rhode Island College in 1987 in Early Child Hood Special Education.
) Director of Children and Youth Ministries
Evy Nickerson graduated from Eastern Nazarene College in 2004 with her Associates in Lay Ministries and in 2006 with her Bachelors majoring in Religion with a minor in Youth Ministry. She was hired in 2007 to coordinate our Sunday School, youth, and family events and activities. Our Sunday School continues to show an influx of new, younger members joining our congregation. Evy is also trained in the EMS field and is a CPR/AED Trainor.
) Our Secretaries
Our senior secretary Mary Vacaro, to the left, keeps things running smoothly in the office. Among her duties are preparing the weekly bulletin, the monthly Spirit Newsletter, answering the many phone calls that come in each day, and supporting our pastors, committees and other groups.
 Helping Mary in the office is Ann Berg who is also responsible for financial administration.
 Our Musical Staff
Northside music ministry is led by two talented and active church members. Jill Brennan on the left and Janet Golden on the right. Jill is Choir Director and serves as a frequent pianist and soloist for our worship services and is a Charter Member of NUMC. Janet is Director of Music/Organist for Northside. She plans and coordinates the music program for our worship services, including soloists and instrumentalists.
 Our Sexton
Bob Moore is an active church member involved in our choir, the Miracle Kitchen and also serves as our sexton, maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of the church. His motto is, "No Crumb Left Behind!"
 Carolyn Cathrew is our Nursery attendant during Sunday Morning Services. She is certified in CPR/AED Training. |
